Clayton Avenue is a highly desirable area in Hassocks. Located on the south side of town, the mainline railway station is just a 5 minute walk away. Property here mainly features large, detached family homes with ample outside space, tucked away in a quiet road. The South Downs are a short walk away for long hikes, or the Adastra Park is also close by for a more low-key walk. Clayton Avenue is also a short walk away from plenty of amenities, including a small supermarket, post office, and plenty of restaurants and coffee shops.
The Belmont Close area consists of a few quiet roads, including Pavillions Close and Reed Close, situated just off the main London Road. The area benefits from having the London Road Recreation Ground right next to it, which also features a play area perfect for children. Located right on the west side of town, the countryside is only a short walk away too. Whilst mainly a residential area, there is a pub nearby – The Friars Oak – offering comfort food and cask ales. Property in this area mainly features terraced and semi-detached homes.
Hurst Wickham is a village located in between Hassocks and Hurstpierpoint. It’s a quiet area, offering beautiful views over the South Downs and gorgeous property, which mainly consists of three- and four-bedroom detached homes. College Lane is particularly sought after, with homes finished to a high quality and providing plenty of outside space. Hurst Wickham is well connected with bus routes that travel along the main Hassocks Road, with services to Hurstpierpoint, Hassocks, and beyond.
Keymer is a village on the outskirts of Hassocks, on the south side. It’s not far from Hassocks station – a five minute drive, or 13 minutes by bus – but still has plenty going on itself, including a pub, library and convenience store. Flowers Close is a highly sought-after private road, offering large family homes in a secluded area. Ockley Way is also popular, with detached and semi-detached family homes. Keymer also benefits from easy access to Adastra Park, as well as the surrounding Sussex countryside.
